Why GSM Matters for Silhouette
When building a premium wardrobe, the "drape" of a shirt is entirely dependent on its GSM. Lightweight fabrics (160-180 GSM) cling to the body and follow its natural curves.
In contrast, heavyweight fabrics (220-280 GSM) possess enough structural integrity to hold their own shape. This is why high-end streetwear and luxury basics utilize heavyweight cotton—it creates a boxy, architectural silhouette that looks intentionally styled rather than simply worn.
